A pilot incubator program to support the winning teams coming out from Eduhack (our hackathon series), to continue their process by helping them develop their team and first prototype further. The participating team consisted of five upper secondary school students from Turku Teacher Training School – Team Concentration Inc.
3-hour coaching session every 3 weeks.
The program focused on team development and tools and canvases used for product development. The process flow was to come together for a 3-hour coaching session every 3 weeks, and in between sessions the team was challenged to do brave experiments in the field with potential customers.

As a prize for this team, the SHIFT Business festival offered tickets for them to get a real-life connection to startup world and to get insights on the newest trends in technology and business. Attending the festival was part of the program, and it offered the team a great opportunity to develop their skills in networking and pitching their idea, and to get valuable feedback from experienced entrepreneurs.
Proper, intimate team-building process through which we understood the benefit of spending time together as a team. We learned the importance of specialising and ensuring that everyone has a role. We appreciate all the networking opportunities and our coach Juhani’s warm and supporting approach.

Through this program the team was able to create stronger connection, and got to know each member’s perspectives, abilities and skills when developing a product together. They also felt that going forward they now have more perseverance when facing difficult and stressful times. They are more advanced in developing networks by contacting companies and other organisations. On an individual level the young students made reflections on their future career choices and entrepreneurship has become an attactive opportunity after their experience in Eduhack and in this program.
